| | "ZOMBIELAND"(2009) Plot:Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg) has made a habit of running from what scares him. Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson) doesn’t have fears. If he did, he’d kick their ever-living ass. In a world overrun by zombies, these two are perfectly evolved survivors. But now, they’re about to stare down the most terrifying prospect of all: each other.
Fun Action-Comedy/Horror flick directed by Ruben Fleischer [in his big-screen directorial debut] and written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, all of whom did a good job. This movie showed that killing zombies would probably be kinda fun [at some points it reminded me of "Shaun of the Dead"], everybody needs somebody, clowns aren't really scary, and twinkies are hard to find.
Good job by Casting director John Pasidera ( "Inception","Dragonball: Evolution"Woody Harrelson ("DEFENDOR") as the guy with nothing to lose and a craving for twinkies, Jesse Eisenberg, Abigail Breslin ("Little Miss Sunshine")...she's definitely growing as an actress, and Emma Stone. Brief but Good performance by Amber Heard.
Good job by Special Effects coordinator Bob Shelley ("The Informant!"). Good job by Visual Effects Supervisor Rocco Passionino ("The Karate Kid"), Visual Effects head of production Kristen Branan, and digital compositor Dave Abuel ("Obsessed", "Bangkok Dangerous"). Good job by Stunt coordinator G.A. Aguilar ("Shutter Island", "Get Him to the Greek"). Great costume design and Art direction by Magali Guidasci ("The Losers") and Austin Gorg ("Extract"), respectively. Great cinematography by Michael Bonvillain. Great score by David Sardy, it worked perfectly during the climax.
Overall it was a good movie, and I enjoyed it more than second time I watched it. and I'll always remember these rules...in case of a zombie apocalypse - don't get caught with your pants down and buckle up that seat belt.
Rating: 4 out of 5 What did you think of this movie? What is your favorite Zombie movie?
